Thanks!! and sorry for the long reply everyone, i can’t reply them everyday. Alright before i start giving some advice, that you guys should observe other artist drawings, and most importantly learn from real life (although i rarely do those anymore)
anyway let’s start!
1. I usually start with my blocky hard brush and then i smooth it on the part that i wanted to have smooth shadow of it.
2.Sometimes i start with hard block of shade color, it helps me to put the color faster without pressing hard on my tablet like i was carving a stone and then smooth it.
3. Don’t smooth all the edges, only smooth at the part where it convey depth or round shape.
4.Use eraser, sometimes there are some part where its hard to do it without using an eraser, like in this gif. There’s not much to say.
5. And the final part, this is my favorite, choose a darker color of the shadow and then shade them on the creases or the part where usually 2 skins meets, usually its close to black, but don’t go jet black, otherwise it’ll looks off.
I obtain these knowledge by observing Audrarius, Kevinsano and atryl drawings. It’s not just them actually, i just forgot which other artists that has influenced my drawings. Or you could just watch other artist that are not from this community alone… There are better artists out there than these dudes that draw mostly horses from some cartoon. Which could spark a better creativity in term of style.
